Modelica

Multiphysics models for co-simulation and design validation

Develop coupled systems, including electromechanical–thermal systems, into reusable, simulation-ready component assets.

What we provide

Modelica delivery includes component models, parameter provenance, initialization, reference scenarios and reproduction instructions. New Horizon checks physical connections and responses from components to systems; FMI work verifies variables, events and communication steps in the agreed receiving tool.

Frequently asked questions

Are solvers and simulation reports included?

Modeling deliverables focus on models and integration testing notes. Complete simulation reports can be delivered in combination with Simulation Services.

Engineering delivery brief

How are Modelica multiphysics models accepted and handed over?

Which projects fit?

For electromechanical and thermal systems, control plant models and component libraries, especially parameter studies and cross-tool integration.

What inputs are needed?

Provide topology, component values and units, drives and loads, initial states, measured traces and tool/library licenses. Distinguish design analysis from real-time integration.

Applicability and Limits

Missing parameters require calibration or explicit assumptions. Successful FMU export does not establish universal compatibility, and offline runtime does not prove real-time capability.

What drives time and cost?

Component complexity, initialization, switching events, external libraries and receiving tools affect duration. Validate a minimal co-simulation loop before scaling.
