Engineering Notes

Hand over the ability to run the system as well

01

Package Contents

Create directories and version inventories for source code, models, data, deployment configurations, and operating materials. Specify how to obtain large files and external dependencies, without relying on implicit paths on a developer's computer.

02

Rerun in the Recipient's Environment

Complete a build, loading, and reproduction of one critical task on the agreed equipment. Record differences, fixes, and limitations, and confirm that receiving personnel can operate independently.

03

Handover Confirmation

Obtain item-by-item acknowledgment of the delivery scope, license information, configuration methods, and outstanding issues. Subsequent upgrades and support follow new agreements, avoiding an implicit promise of unlimited compatibility with unknown environments.
