Engineering Notes
Record geometric simplifications, rigid-body mass and inertia, contact parameters, fluid properties, and boundary conditions. Specify whether the problem concerns mechanism motion, external flow, internal flow, or fluid–structure interaction, and avoid mixing model scales.
For rigid-body tasks, check time step and contact stability; for fluid tasks, check meshes, residuals, and conservation. Retain comparisons across multiple discretization settings for sensitive results. Convergence curves do not by themselves establish agreement with experiments.
Deliver model projects, solver settings, monitoring points, result extraction scripts, and applicability limits. Where experiments or public benchmarks are available, separately explain validation errors and sources of differences.
