Digital Twin Guide
Knowledge Guides /How should an outsourced digital twin project be accepted?
Last updated: · New Horizon Digital Outsourcing Team
We recommend four acceptance dimensions for outsourced digital twins: completeness of scene assets, usability of closed-loop data or command flows, whether multi-user collaboration/control meets agreed criteria, and completion of documentation and source-code handover, if agreed. New Horizon Digital Outsourcing Team bases acceptance on integration records and metric comparisons, rather than visualization alone.
Four acceptance dimensions
- Scene: are all agreed objects, events, and states present?
- Closed loop: can key data or simulation outputs drive the twin, and can commands be sent back?
- Collaboration: do multi-terminal synchronization, permissions, and latency meet the agreement?
- Handover: operating instructions, interface documentation, source-code scope, and an environment inventory.
When complete field data is unavailable
- Accept a simulation/logic-driven baseline first, retaining interfaces for actual data. Switch once data is ready to avoid leaving the project stalled while waiting for data.
